TrackStar Privacy Policy

TrackStar shows you upcoming concerts and music releases from artists you choose to follow. This policy explains what the app collects, why, and how to get rid of it.
Who runs TrackStar

What we collect
We only collect what the app needs to work.

We do not collect analytics, advertising identifiers, contacts, photos, browsing history, or payment information. There are no third-party trackers or ad networks in the app. We do not sell personal information or share it for advertising.
About location
TrackStar does not use your device’s location at all. It doesn’t ask for location permission. The app covers New York City for everyone right now, and the only thing you choose is how far outside the city you’ll travel for a show.
If you connect Spotify
Connecting Spotify is optional. TrackStar asks Spotify for two permissions only: the artists you follow and the artists you play most. It cannot see your playlists, your listening history, or control playback. The tokens are stored on our server and are never readable by the app on your phone. Disconnect at any time in Settings, which deletes them. You can also revoke TrackStar at spotify.com under Apps.
Face ID
The optional Face ID lock is handled entirely by iOS on your phone. TrackStar never receives or stores any biometric data; it only learns whether the check passed.
Sign in with Apple
If you use Sign in with Apple and choose to hide your email, we only ever see Apple’s private relay address. That’s fine — it works the same for us.
Who else touches your data
- Supabase (supabase.com) hosts the database and handles sign-in on our behalf.
- Expo’s push service (expo.dev) and Apple Push Notification service deliver alerts. They receive your push token and the text of the alert (an artist name and a date).
- Apple or Google verify your sign-in, depending on which you use.
- Spotify, only if you connect it, tells us which artists you follow and play most.
Our servers query Ticketmaster, SeatGeek, Apple Music, iTunes, Spotify, MusicBrainz, Wikidata and Deezer for tour dates, release dates, artist photos and similar-artist suggestions. Those requests contain artist names only. They never include your identity, your email, or your location. Opening a ticket or listening link takes you to that company’s own site, where its privacy policy applies.
Where your data lives and how long we keep it
Your data is stored on Supabase’s servers in the United States (Oregon). We keep it until you delete your account.
Deleting your data
Open Settings, then Delete account. That permanently removes your account, city, followed artists, and push tokens. You can also email peteypabloindustries@gmail.com and we’ll do it for you.
Turning alerts off in Settings stops the notifications; removing the app removes its local copy of your timeline from your phone.
Children
TrackStar isn’t directed to children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their information.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to see, correct, export, or delete the personal information we hold. Email peteypabloindustries@gmail.com and we’ll respond within 30 days.
Changes
If this policy changes, we’ll post the new version here and update the date at the top. Significant changes will be announced in the app.
